CONNECT DRIVER INSTINCT
TO GRAN TURISMO 7.
Your PS5, your PC and Ayrton. That is everything you need to get started.
ENGLISH SUPPORT Target September 8, 2026 · currently in validation.
EVERYTHING ON
THE SAME NETWORK.
Driver Instinct receives your live race data from GT7. You do not install anything on the PlayStation or change any in-game settings.
COMPATIBLE PS5 on Ethernet + PC on Wi-Fi.
IMPORTANT GT7 does not have an “Enable Telemetry” option. You do not need to activate any special in-game setting.
CONFIGURE. ACTIVATE.
ENTER THE TRACK.
Four clear steps take you from a new installation to a race with Ayrton on the radio.
FIND YOUR PS5 IP ADDRESS.
On your PlayStation 5, open:
Find IPv4 Address. You do not need to change it; just write it down.
192.168.1.120 EXAMPLEYour router may assign a new IP address after a restart. If Driver Instinct stops receiving data, check it again.
COMPLETE FIRST-TIME SETUP.
Personalise the driver-engineer relationship, connect your PS5 and select the devices you will use to speak and listen.
ENTER THE TRACK.
Start GT7, enter a session and take the car onto the track. Drive for a few seconds: a saved IP address is not enough if GT7 is not yet transmitting.
TALK TO AYRTON.
The radio works both ways. Ayrton doesn’t just speak to you: you can also speak to him during the race.
“Ayrton, can we make it to the end?”
“Yes. With this saving we can make it without stopping.”
YOU DRIVE.
AYRTON WORKS WITH YOU.
Strategy combines data, context, Race Intelligence and communication between driver and engineer.
THE DEFINITIVE TEST:
DRIVE.
When you are on track, Driver Instinct can work with the telemetry supported by GT7 and turn it into Race Intelligence.
- Speed
- RPM and gear
- Fuel
- Laps
- Available temperatures
- Vehicle dynamics
- Exact tyre wear percentage
- Complete gaps to every rival

NOT RECEIVING DATA
FROM YOUR PS5?
Start with the simplest checks. Most issues are identified by checking the track, IP address and local network—in that order.
01Make sure you are actually on track+
GT7 must be running and the car must be inside an active session.
- Enter the track.
- Drive for a few seconds.
- Check Driver Instinct again.
02Check the IP address+
On PS5, open Settings → Network → Connection Status → View Connection Status and find IPv4 Address.
Compare it with the IP saved in Driver Instinct. If it has changed, update it in Settings → PlayStation.
03Check the network+
Your PC and PS5 must be on the same local network. These are valid combinations:
- PS5 Ethernet + PC Ethernet.
- PS5 Ethernet + PC Wi-Fi.
- PS5 Wi-Fi + PC Wi-Fi.
Avoid a Guest Network: some routers isolate connected devices from each other.
04Check Windows Firewall+
Windows may ask for permission the first time Driver Instinct uses the network. Allow it on Private networks.
If you denied access, open Windows Security → Firewall & network protection → Allow an app through firewall.
05Try without a VPN+
A VPN can interfere with communication inside your local network.
- Temporarily disable it.
- Restart Driver Instinct.
- Enter the track and check again.
06Temporarily close other telemetry apps+
If you use other GT7 dashboards or telemetry applications and are experiencing issues, close them during diagnosis. This does not necessarily mean they are incompatible.
07Use Ethernet if the connection is unstable+
Ethernet is not required. If the connection is unstable, connecting the PS5 directly to the router via Ethernet may improve stability.
CAN’T HEAR AYRTON?
- Check the selected output device.
- Check system volume and make sure the headset is active.
- Confirm the default output device.
- Make sure Driver Instinct still has access to the device.
CAN’T AYRTON HEAR YOU?
- Check the selected microphone.
- Review microphone permission in Windows.
- Confirm the device is active and has input level.
- Make sure another application is not blocking it.
AYRTON DOESN’T INVENT
WHAT GT7 DOESN’T PROVIDE.
Driver Instinct works only with information it can observe, calculate, receive from the driver or infer with sufficient evidence.
When something cannot be known reliably, Ayrton does not invent it.
In future versions, feedback such as “the fronts are falling away” or “I’m losing rear grip” may add useful context. GT7 does not provide a direct tyre-wear percentage, and this advanced conversation still requires validation.
TECHNICAL INFORMATIONView ports used+
Driver Instinct uses GT7 telemetry inside your local network.
UDP 33739Heartbeat required to keep the transmission active.UDP 33740Receives the GT7 telemetry stream.Under normal conditions, you do not need to configure these ports manually. You do not need port forwarding or to expose ports to the Internet.
EVERYTHING CONNECTED?
Then you no longer need to think about telemetry.
